The “Catalogs” feature in Confect lets you generate a feed URL with fully customizable product images that can be added directly to your Meta catalogs (in Commerce Manager).
Once you have created your first design in Confect, it’s time to apply it to all your products automatically so you’re ready to import it into Meta and start running better Catalog Ad campaigns.
Once you set up a catalog in Confect, you can easily update the design, schedule different campaign designs, and reap many more benefits of eliminating bottlenecks in your paid social content production.
But first, we need to create your first Facebook catalog in Confect. So let’s get started.
The “Catalogs” tab is where all your catalogs (and their respective URLs) will be stored and can be edited.
This being your first catalog, the tab will be empty. Click “Create your first catalog” to get started.
It only takes four simple steps to generate a catalog for unlimited products.
Once the window appears for a new catalog, click on “Choose” next to the platform you want to use - Facebook (for the main catalog, make sure to click just "Facebook", and not "Facebook Country Feed").
In the next step, name it and click "Select".
(In this step, don't change the resolution; it must be kept at 1080x1080 for Meta catalog ads. Also, adding "URL Parameters" is not recommended for new users.)
Now, choose the design for this catalog. Click on it and click “Select” in the bottom right corner of the page.
Lastly, click “Save” in the top right corner.
Confect will apply your design to all the products automatically, all you have to do is click the button to “Generate”.
Confect will render all the images and take from 1 minute to 15 minutes, depending on the number of products.
Once your creatives have finished generating, you’ll be given a URL, ready to be used on Meta.
Optionally, go into the “Inspect” tab.
This is where you can make sure that everything has been generated properly and see your catalog with custom designs for the first time.
You can also use the filter on the left side to only preview certain products. Using this filter will not impact the finished URL or change anything, but only determine what you see in “Inspect”.
Congratulations! Your catalog is now ready to be imported into Meta Commerce Manager.
