Just like Catalog Ads on Facebook, Klaviyo can take the data in your product catalog and customer behavior to recommend relevant items in your Klaviyo messaging.
Using customized product catalogs for Klaviyo is very similar to creating a Confect catalog for Meta. You have access to create catalogs for Klaviyo with the Catalogs feature in Confect.
First, you’ll need to create a design and then a catalog that has custom creatives for all your products. Lastly, yout import this into Klaviyo so the system can show product recommendations to your recipients.
You might already have a design you want to use, but if not, create the design you want to use for your Klaviyo banners.
Note that Klaviyo supports various image dimensions, so select your desired resolution when creating the design, below the design canvas.
To create a design, visit this page for everything you need to know about our design editor.
When you’re done, make sure to name the design for easy overview, and click "Save" in the top right corner.
Navigate to the Catalogs tab in Confect and click "Add channel" in the top right corner.
Scroll down a bit until you see the Klaviyo channel. There are two options available: "Klaviyo" (standard) and "Klaviyo transparent".
After clicking "Choose", make sure to set the resolution to match your design exactly. This is necessary to make sure the images look clean and proper. Then, click "Select".
Lastly, click on the design you want to use and again, click "Select".
Your Klaviyo catalog is almost ready.
In this stage, you can add Design rules (i.e. to assign a different design to discounted products). Click here to read about Design rules, or carry on as is and click "Save" in the top right.
Now, click "Generate feed" and wait for our system to create the images for all your products.
Once the catalog is done generating, it will return a URL that will need to be added to your Klaviyo account. Simply click on the URL to copy it into your clipboard.
Use Klaviyo’s guide to upload this URL, and make sure to select "Custom catalog": click here
