Debugging checklist

Make sure Meta has the designs

Especially if you've just recently connected Confect to Meta for the first time, Meta may still be loading your designs (even if the feed has already been updated).

You can check if your products have the design inside the catalog in Meta Commerce Manager.

Go into the "Items" tab, open a few products, and check if you can find the Confect designs under "Details > Images".

Remove Advantage+ creative options

Find these "Advantage+ creative" settings on the ad level, and make sure they are turned off.

Namely, the "Dynamic media" option can shuffle the images being used - leading to an inconsistent ad.

(If you are using the Story catalog function in Confect, only the "Adapt to placement" option may be turned on - all other settings should be off)

Check the number of items (if supplementary)

If you're using Confect as a "Supplementary feed", check that some products are not missing from Confect.

You can check this inside the Commerce Manager catalog's "Data sources" by seeing the number of items coming from the main feed, compared to Confect.

Also make sure there is not a high number of "failed" products inside Meta.

In the below example, there are 239 products sent into Facebook by Shopify, while Confect is only sending 150 products - meaning that the missing 89 products need to be added to Confect as well to get designs.

Configure sources (if supplementary)

If there is no "Configure sources" button in your Commerce Manager "Data sources", skip this step.

Go into the "Data sources" of your Commerce Manager catalog, and press "Configure sources" in the top right corner.

If your catalog includes multiple sources (i.e. a Shopify integration, and the Confect feed), choose the Confect feed for "Image" and "Additional image link".

Lastly, click "Save".
