While you may use a Confect feed in your Google Merchant Center - note that Google has extremely strict requirements for the image (ignoring these requirements may result in a ban by Google).

Among others, Google prohibits:

  • Promotional elements or content that covers the product
  • Using a border, or an overlay, in the image
  • Using a coloured, or patterned background (only white, or transparent are allowed)

This essentially means that Google does not accept custom designs, and only unedited images may be used.

How to use Confect for Google

If you wish to have all your feeds from Confect, for the sake of convenience, you may find the "Generic shopping feed" channel inside Catalogs (this is the format accepted by Google).

However, for your catalog to remain compliant, the template you use mustn't contain any prohibited elements (so, only "the product on a white background" or "a model image with no edits" may be used).
